Wow Brow!!

Gone is the day when we waxed or tweezed the life out of our eyebrows so much so I recall girls having removed so much of their eyebrows that they would pencil them back in and I don’t mean the fine art they create today I mean one thin line where their eyebrow use to reside… Even back then that horrified me!

With natural beauty being pushed to the fore more and more the natural brow has taken on a life form of its own. Now be careful there’s a fine line between looking like Jack Nicolson and having a full natural brow. We have seen the fuller brow creep in for the last 5 years with more and more celebrities showcasing this trend, and when done correctly these well groomed brows have completely transformed the plainest of faces. Make it the feature of your face, draw the attention to your eyes, women’s eyes are the most intoxicating weapon she possess (use this to your full advantage).

The two ways of creating this brow is by going to the professionals that are qualified in HD Brows. This is a 7 step treatment that consists of shaping to tinting and they guarantee the perfect eyebrow and if not achieved first time because you have over waxed brows they have special ointment to help those bad boys grow so they have more to work with but be assured you will get that desired affect one way or another ….

Or if you don’t have the patients for all that or you just want those eyebrows at the weekend you can always opt for “Brows a go go” by Benefit Cosmetics, it’s basically the perfect eye brow in a kit, I am obsessed with this, you can create the perfect brow with two shades to choose from, a tweezer and a high lighter all for under €40!!

Whitney port has the perfect balance and colour for someone with fair hair.

Breaking the Rules

As a young girl I remember being told you can never mix certain colours together such as pink and red or even different patterns together, this was a complete “no no”, and I always wondered why? But who was I to question this rule it must have been there for a reason so I never dared to break this rule, not even a sneaky try behind closed doors. Someone once told me in a professional capacity “once you know and understand the rules, rules are there to be broken”. How correct was this man, once you have the knowledge why not experiment!!

Now here is where the problem lyes, it is instilled in us as human beings not to break the rules whatever they may be. So when I suggest you should wear a navy blazer with those black trousers the look of sheer horror on their face, it would almost seem like I told them to wear a bikini to a black tie event!! I have found some amazing examples to show you and to prove that this is not a wacky trend that will be gone in the morning that in fact it very sophisticated … It begs the question “why has it taken so long for us to diminish this rule?” Frankly it would take too long to even find where it derived from. All you need to know is yes this works and it works exceptionally well… Happy braking of the rules!!

Lavender

Ok ok maybe I’ve taken my fashion hunger to a completely new level but hey you only live once and I just really love this trend from dusty pink to a pale lavender these colours are not the colours of clothes that I have my eye on, they are the colours of this seasons “HAIR” trends. We’ve seen everyone from Kelly Osbourne to Ellie Goulding take the leap to lavender and Cara Delevingne dawned this trend for the runway but unlike Kelly and Ellie her’s rinsed out immediately. I wouldn’t normally have my hair looking like a rainbow but I just adore this trend and hey it’s only hair !!
